“The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire, not things we fear”.

Normally people tend to be afraid of changes, to the unknown; however, how many times have we didn’t do something in our lives for the simple fact of “fear”? Many entrepreneurs in the whole world had to stop their dreams because of fear or just because they worry about what people might say. Am I going to succeed or not? Wake up! It’s time to see what difference does it make; if you fail, fail trying and you’ll realize that it wasn’t so difficult to jump the puddle of water without getting wet.
Everytime that I had a job in the past, I realized that I felt stuck between two kind of fears: The fear to lose my passion if I stayed there and the fear to lose my financial security (salary) if I left that job and not being able to find something else in another place.
In addition to that, there are some other fears that overwhelm people every single day and If you don’t know how to control them, that fear could paralyze you and make your dreams impossible to achieve.
One of my main fears at the time was leaving my country to undertake something new into the unknown, I didn’t know who I was going to live with, where I was going to work and how my destiny was going to be in the place that I chose to live. Well, let me tell you that at this moment I appreciate the “fear” I had because it gave me that little push I needed to achieve my goals. Now I can say that fear became part of me but always as something positive, for me it is a sign that as soon as I’m afraid of something, it is because I’m on the right path.
In other words, taking action to overcome my fears and learning how to control them has not only meant a new skill to me, but it also brought me confidence in to learn new things, handle my mistakes better, meet new people, achieve my goals, and much more.
It’s in the action that we grow our confidence in our abilities to work on, because the fear will always be there; we’re human beings, you just need to believe in yourself and stop overthinking, for God’s sake!
And just to let you know, today I couldn’t have said all of this to all of you if I just continued to wait to take action until I no longer felt afraid anymore.
So to conclude, I’ll leave you with a question: what action are you going to take to overcome your fear today?
